9 months before:

o Visit clergy member or judge with your fiancée.

o Start making your guest list.

o Select and order dress and accessories.

o Discuss honeymoon destination and consult with a travel agent.

6 months before:

o Plan wedding details.

o Rent or shop for a new home if you are moving.

o Order invitations and announcements.

o Complete honeymoon plans with groom: update passports,  etc.

o Order attendant’s dresses.

o Talk about rehearsal dinner with groom.

Wedding Checklist-For Brides

3 months before:

6-8 weeks before:

o Address wedding invitations and mail them out.

o Update your bridal registry.

o Pick up wedding rings , check engraving.

o Write Thank-You notes for gifts.

2 weeks before:

o Get marriage license.

o Double-check honeymoon reservations.

o Submit request lists to photographer, videographer and band/DJ.

o Arrange to move your belongings to new home.

1 week before:

o Give final count of guests to caterer.

o Check final details with your attendants, caterer, band/DJ, florist, etc.

o Purchase travelers cheques.

o Pack and get going away outfit ready.
